Într-o recentă apariție televizată, un fost redactor șef de publicație economică reușește performanța, deloc de invidiat, de a transmite spectatorilor informații eronate în legătură cu rata dobânzii la împrumuturile pe termen lung (10 ani) ale României, ce este utilizată în scopuri de evaluare a convergenței economice. Articolul de față, ce se înscrie în efortul constant de educație financiară al băncii centrale, explică acest concept de dobândă și arată unde anume s-a greșit în comunicarea către public.
